These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of My Buddy/Temanku (the “Service”), provided by PT Karya Digital Indo (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1) Acceptance & Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
- If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2) Accounts & Security
- You may need an account using your email. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us of any unauthorized use.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3) Your Content
- You may submit messages, prompts, or other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of User Content.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service (e.g., personalize replies, maintain safety, provide features you request).
- Do not share content you don’t have rights to or that violates law or others’ rights.
4) Prohibited Uses
- No illegal, harmful, harassing, hateful, or infringing content.
- No attempts to hack, reverse engineer, or overload the Service.
- No automated scraping or use that violates third-party policies or laws.
5) AI & Safety Notice Important
- The Service uses AI to generate conversational responses. Outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. Use your judgment.
- The Service is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, mental health, legal, financial, etc.). In emergencies, contact local authorities or hotlines.
- You are responsible for how you use and rely on AI outputs.
6) Intellectual Property
- The Service, including our software, brand, and designs, are owned by us or our licensors.
- We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms.
7) Changes to the Service
We may update or discontinue parts of the Service. We will provide notice if changes materially affect your rights or obligations.
8) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data or profits.
9) Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for safety/security reasons.
10) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law rules.
11) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If updates materially impact you, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., in-app or by email). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how My Buddy/Temanku collects, uses, and protects your information.
1) Information We Collect
- Email (required) — used for account access and essential communications.
- Name (optional) — provided by you; may be pseudonymous.
- Birthday (optional) — provided by you; may be approximate or pseudonymous.
- Chat Content — messages you send to the AI are processed to provide the Service and personalize your experience.
We do not sell personal data. We do not require government IDs.
2) How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (e.g., personalize replies, fix issues).
- Authenticate your account and communicate with you (e.g., service notices).
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and misuse; ensure safety and compliance.
3) Data Retention
- Email is retained while your account is active (and as required by law).
- Name and birthday are retained until you edit or delete them.
- Chat content is retained only as needed to operate features you use and maintain safety; you may request deletion.
4) Sharing & Processors
- We may share data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf (e.g., cloud hosting, AI infrastructure). They are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
5) International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards.
6) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password and protect your account.
7) Your Rights
- Access/Correction — request a copy of your data or correct inaccuracies.
- Deletion — request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations).
- Consent — where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
